Integrated Business and Engineering

Integrated Business and Engineering Students with engineering laptop

The Integrated Business & Engineering (IBE) program at the University of Evansville equips students with the rare combination of business acumen and engineering problem-solving skills, preparing them to become leaders who can bridge technical innovation and organizational strategy. Graduates of the IBE program will emerge as professionals who are business-minded with engineering skillsets, ready to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation in global industries.

What makes this program distinctive?

  • IBE is housed in the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration, but students will receive a well-rounded education through additional courses offered by the School of Engineering and Computer Science.
  • The curriculum does not just consist of Business courses and Engineering courses. Unlike other universities, UE offers IBE-specific courses during students’ senior year. This includes a team-based, industry-facing capstone project.
  • Students can easily double major within the Schroeder School and graduate with two bachelor’s degrees.
  • IBE students can pursue the extraordinary and study abroad at Harlaxton, UE’s very own Victorian manor in England, and still graduate in four years or less.
  • Hands-on projects and real-world case studies.
  • Access to the resources and faculty of both the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration and the School of Engineering & Computer Science.
  • Strong industry engagement and internship opportunities.
  • Pathways to leadership roles in fields where technical expertise and business strategy intersect.
