A major benefit of enrolling in the University of Evansville’s pre-professional program is students can tailor their education to their career goals. Students work closely with their advisors who are committed to mentorship. Because of this close relationship, advisors are able to write personal references based upon their students’ strengths and accomplishments when it comes time for applying to professional schools. In fact, 100 percent of UE preprofessional students over the past nine years have been accepted into medical school.
To better prepare students for their academic and/or career journey after UE, faculty engage them in hands-on and project-based laboratory experiences, which build problem-solving skills. Students also have the opportunity to complete research on campus with a faculty member or as an independent project. These activities provide students with a balance of both personal and professional development to ensure their success.
