The Center for Academic Advising is dedicated to active learning and scholarship. Through free academic support services, we offer students resources to realize their highest potential. Our office is located in Room 264 of Clifford Library (the entrance that faces Koch Center). Come visit our office and meet our staff.
Student academic support services provided by the advising office as well as other offices across campus include:
Supplemental Instruction/Tutoring is offered for many of our traditionally challenging courses. Supplemental Instruction sessions are student-led study sessions that create a collaborative learning environment.
Academic coaches are current UE students who have mastered skills such as time management and a variety of study techniques. They coach students one-on-one to help them be academically successful.
This interactive web-based system is a mechanism for UE employees to identify early if a student is having academic or personal difficulty. University resources are directed to the student to enable his or her success.
Many elements of UE's core curriculum are writing-intensive. Writing Center tutors are available to help students with every step of the writing process.
Research and reference assistance are offered in the UE library. Students can utilize the expertise of librarians in finding online and print materials.
UE counselors offer guidance with stress management strategies and mental health issues. Special accommodations can be made for students with properly documented special needs or disabilities.
The Center for Career Development assists students throughout their college career – from freshman to senior and beyond. Students can benefit from individual appointments and career-related assessments.
