Transfer to UE’s School of Education

Transfer students in the University of Evansville’s School of Education hit the ground running, gaining immediate access to immersive, real-world learning experiences in local classrooms. From early opportunities to observe and teach to dedicated support from UE faculty, transfer students quickly build valuable hands-on experience while seamlessly integrating into the UE community—ensuring a smooth transition and strong confidence for the future.

If you have earned an associate degree, or a minimum of 55 credit hours from a community college, you are eligible for the Associate to Bachelor’s in Education (ABE) program.

Why Transfer?

  • Our special reduced rate per credit hour for ABE program students is so low, it’s often less expensive to attend UE than a public institution. (Note: As a result of this special rate, UE scholarships are not available for students in the ABE program)
  • Financial aid is available by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA).
  • The program is suited for both part-time (less than 12 credit hours) and full-time (12-18 credit hours) students.
  • Students at Ivy Tech Community College can seamlessly transfer to UE with no lost credits.
