SOAR: Student Orientation and Academic Registration
SOAR is a program that begins the process of orientation for incoming students at the University of Evansville. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the University’s Parent Orientation Program which takes place simultaneously.
In 2020, SOAR sessions will be offered on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and June 13, and August 21 and August 22. Every new student is required to attend one of the SOAR sessions. During SOAR, students will have an opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, and advisors; select courses for the fall semester; and receive important information about residence life, student financial services, career development, the health center, and other campus entities.
Incoming freshmen will be able to live in a residence hall and interact with current student leaders during the June and August SOAR events.
The SOAR program gives students and parents a special preview of the University community. It also sets the tone of what we want entering students to do: SOAR, achieve new heights and succeed!
