Orientation

Student Orientation and Academic Registration (SOAR) begins the process for becoming a UE student.

SOAR 2016

We are delighted to welcome you to the University of Evansville. We believe that our orientation programs will facilitate a smooth transition both in and out of the classroom. It is important to us that all UE students are given the right tools to begin their academic career.

SOAR: Student Orientation and Academic Registration

SOAR is a one day program that begins the process of orientation for incoming freshmen at the University of Evansville. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the University’s Parent Orientation Program which takes place simultaneously.

In 2016, SOAR sessions will be offered on April 8, April 11, and June 10. Every freshman is required to attend one of these sessions. During SOAR, students will have an opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, and advisors; select courses for the fall semester; and receive important information about Residence Life, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Career Development, the Health Center and other campus entities.

The SOAR program gives students and parents a special preview of the University community. It also sets the tone of what we want entering students to do: SOAR, achieve new heights and succeed.
