UE Dance Company
The University of Evansville Dance Company (UEDC) is an inclusive, student-led ChangeLab and club that brings people together through the joy and power of dance. Open to the entire community, UEDC creates opportunities to learn, perform, choreograph, compete, and build community in a welcoming environment where everyone belongs. Through award-winning programs like the Silver Aces, Mad Hot Ballroom, Rhythm & Rise, summer camps and more, the UEDC is a vehicle for connection and changemaking, expanding access to the arts, bringing generations together, and serving the greater Evansville community. Whether you’re stepping onto a dance floor for the first time or have trained for years, you can find your home at the UEDC.
Silver Aces

Sponsored by the Sol and Arlene Bronstein Foundation, the Silver Aces are the UE Dance Company’s newest award-winning dance team for adults age 50 and up. This team proves that creativity, performance, and the joy of movement have no age limit. Silver Aces gives all members a chance to build confidence, friendship, physical wellness, and a powerful sense of belonging; all while challenging traditional ideas about aging. Team Members perform throughout the community, partner with UE students and professional artists, and have earned recognition for their innovative approach to intergenerational and inclusive arts programming. In a partnership with SWIRCA, UE Physical Therapy, Nursing, Physician Assistant and other departments, members also receive a health assessment as part of the program. No experience necessary, and accommodations are provided for anyone who needs it (including low vision, mobility challenges, Parkinson’s patients and more). Practices, warm-ups, uniforms and performance opportunities are provided at no cost due to our generous sponsors. To join or receive information, simply email EL131@evansville.edu or text 812-449-1044.
Rhythm & Rise

Launched in 2017 with a pilot at Glenwood Leadership Academy, Rhythm & Rise is the new extension of the award-winning Mad Hot Ballroom program. That can now be expanded to all 6 Evansville Promise Neighborhood Schools thanks to Mayor Stephanie Terry’s Forward Together Grants. How the program works: UE students visit schools twice a week for 10 weeks, then compete against each other in a Colors of the Rainbow showcase. If you have interest in your child’s school participating, reach out to the Program Contact listed.
Summer Camps

Each summer, the UEDC hosts the UE Dance Camp. As one of the Lilly Youth Programs Summer Camps, this life-changing experience on campus teaches a wide range of dances through 40+ hours of instruction. The 2027 Camp will be held June 20-25. Keep an eye on that registration page, spots are limited.
