Timeline for Entering Freshmen

Senior year of high school

Apply for admission and scholarships, preferably by our Early Action deadline of November 1. After Early Action, applications for admission will be accepted on a space-available basis.

December 2023 through April 1, 2024

Submit the 2024-25 FAFSA at fafsa.gov to be considered for all forms of need-based aid, including federal, state and UE grants; federal loans; and federal work-study. In order for the University of Evansville to receive your FAFSA data, include UE's school code 001795. For your financial aid to be prepared, we encourage students to submit their FAFSA by April 1. This ensures that Indiana residents will meet the strict April 15 deadline to be eligible to be considered for State of Indiana Grants.

When completing the FAFSA, be sure to select the appropriate FAFSA year as there are two years available.

  • Students entering fall 2024, submit the 2024-25 FAFSA (available December 2023).

Beginning Late March*

Admitted students who have listed the University of Evansville on their FAFSA will receive a Financial Aid Offer which will include cost and payment information. Please visit Financial Services Next Steps for information regarding finalizing your financial aid.

*Due to the updates to the 2024-25 FAFSA, schools are being provided FAFSA data much later this year. Institutions will likely begin receiving applicant information toward the end of March 2024. Students will receive an email from the Department of Education when their FAFSA becomes available to the school. Our office will process FAFSAs as soon as they become available.

Throughout the spring of senior year

Research and apply for private scholarships from your high school, community organizations, church, and employers. View more information on outside scholarship search services.
