The renewal of all UE scholarships and financial aid requires that students maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). The standards for SAP include both a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) and a credit-hours-earned expectation (earning at least 67 percent of all attempted credit hours). Please note that the SAMS grant requires a 3.0 GPA for renewal.
Students must be meeting SAP to be eligible for renewal of UE scholarships and grants for the next academic year. Students should also be aware that the full renewal of UE aid may require continued residency in UE-approved housing. View UE’s housing and financial aid renewal policy.
Duration of Scholarships
Unless specified below, University of Evansville Merit Scholarships are available for a maximum of four years (8 semesters), or until the requirements for the first bachelor’s degree have been met, whichever comes first. Students who are in a four-year program but will not graduate in four years may appeal for an extension of UE scholarship(s).
Physical therapy students admitted into the DPT program will receive their primary merit-based scholarship for either six years (12 semesters) or seven years (14 semesters), depending upon the curriculum plan selected by the student approved by UE faculty. Awards remain fixed at their fourth-year value. Add-on merit-awards and need-based grants are available only for four years.
Students in these five-year programs will receive their UE awards for five years: BS/MS Health Services Administration, Applied Exercise Science/PTA, Athletic Training/PTA, Exercise Science/Health Services Administration, and Music Education/Music Therapy.
