The Changemaker Challenge provides an opportunity for engaging in idea-generation, thus increasing awareness and knowledge about current social and environmental problems and mobilizing people towards problem solving. This year’s theme is Evansville Strong: Local to Global.
The Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana is a part of the Schroeder School of Business at the University of Evansville. The institute was created as part of UE's recognition of the value of a global mindset for both students and for regional business professionals.
For students, the institute ensures that students experience international situations, challenges and opportunities that prepare them to contribute and succeed in a global economy. Examples of institute initiatives include the development of international study programs and internships with companies that engage in international commerce.
The institute also serves as an innovative partner to regional business by providing ongoing educational opportunities and an external resource base to companies who want to successfully compete in a worldwide marketplace and environment. Ongoing executive education programs and insightful perspectives offered by internationally focused faculty members are among ways the institute serves participating businesses and industries.
Other programs sponsored by the institute include:
- The GAP Program which links UE students with local business to work on real-world global business issues
- The International Speaker Series which brings world renowned business leaders as guest presenters
- Visiting Global Business Fellows
The Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana is another example of the value University of Evansville places on broadened perspectives through a deeper understanding of the world.
