Dr. Huebner received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Professions Education from Bellarmine University in 2022, her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Indiana University in 2009, and her Bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2006. She teaches courses related to curriculum design and teaching practice within the PhD program. She also serves as a dissertation chair. Dr. Huebner graduated from the ProRehab and University of Evansville's Sports Residency program in 2010. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She also received her manual therapy certification through Evidence in Motion's program in 2014. Dr. Huebner's research interest is in injury prevention through individualized and group training and physical therapy education, emphasizing feedback for learning.

Dr. Matsel is a physical therapist and clinical researcher who received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Evansville in 2011 and his PhD in rehabilitation sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2021. He teaches courses related to evidence-based practice in education, academic writing, and dissertation proposal in the PhD program. His research interests are in the identification of musculoskeletal injury risk factors and the implementation of arm care exercise programs for baseball players. Additionally, Dr. Matsel presents nationally on evidence-based topics related to comprehensive, systematic movement-based assessment and testing.

Tad Dickel

Dr. Tad Dickel serves as Executive in Residence-Leadership and Faculty Program Director for the Master of Science in Leadership. He is a leadership and strategy consultant who works with a wide variety of organizations.

With a career beginning in education, Tad has served as a non-public high school president, principal, and teacher. He regularly teaches graduate courses in strategic planning, leadership, and innovation. He has written about and presented on leadership, strategic planning, and planned giving.

Tad holds a PhD in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University, an MBA from University of Southern Indiana, and a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of Evansville. He earned a Certificate in Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute, and a Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate from IDEO U. Tad is a Certified Basadur Simplexity Thinking Facilitator and Trainer, Certified Basadur Innovation Profile Administrator, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) Certified Practitioner.

Phil Plisky

Dr. Plisky received his B.S. and Master of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Evansville. He earned a Doctor of Science degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with over 25 years’ experience and is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He teaches within the Thriving in Higher Education course in the PhD curriculum. He has published 35 original research articles in leading scientific journals, 60 peer-reviewed scientific presentations, several book chapters, and has lectured internationally on injury prevention and field expedient movement testing. Dr. Plisky has received multiple research grants totaling over 3 million dollars from federal and private agencies for performance and injury prevention studies. His current research is focused on comprehensive movement and performance testing and interventions in athletes and military personnel. He is a performance systems consultant with numerous collegiate and professional teams and the US military. In addition, he serves as a manuscript reviewer for several scientific journals. He is actively engaged in patient care in his own private practice in Evansville, Indiana, and is the Director of U.E. Residency Programs.

Dr. Schwartzkopf is a physical therapist and clinical researcher who received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Evansville in 2007, transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in 2009, and PhD in rehabilitation sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2017. She teaches courses related to research design and quantitative analysis in the PhD program. Her research interests are in fitness and performance outcomes in female athletes. Dr. Schwartzkopf remains active in patient care as the owner of Stories Health and Wellness, LLC.

Shari Millikan

Dr. Shari Millikan, Assessment Coordinator and Adjunct Instructor, earned her Ed.D. with a specialization in Higher Education and Adult Learning from Walden University in 2012. Shari has been a high school math teacher for the past 30 years. She began her teaching career at Bedford North Lawrence High School where she was a math teacher for 25 years. When Shari and her family moved to Evansville, she continued her passion for teaching high school math at Evansville Bosse High School as the Mathematics Department Chair for the past 5 years.

Dr. Millikan's educational interests include work in curriculum and data collection. Throughout her years in education, Shari has presented at state conferences, led professional development, and been involved with instructional coaching and high stakes mathematics testing for high school students. She has served on various instructional leadership teams, Indiana Department of Education committees and belongs to professional organizations including the Indiana Council for Teachers of Mathematics.

Diana Rodríguez Quevedo received her PhD in Spanish – Latin American Literature from the University of Toronto. Prior to coming to the University of Evansville, she taught at the University of Toronto and was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University for one year. She has taught a wide variety of courses that include elementary to advanced Spanish, Latin American culture and civilization, Spanish conversation, business Spanish, and Latin America literature. Her research focuses on non-canonical texts of Latin America, such as testimonio narratives and songs. Her dissertation examined texts dealing with the phenomenon of forced internal displacement in the 20th and 21st centuries in Colombia.
Michelle Walden

Dr. Michelle Walden is an educational leader and scholar-practitioner who serves as Assistant Superintendent of the MSD of North Posey County. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and an Education Specialist degree from American College of Education, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry Education from Purdue University, and maintains an Indiana Public School Superintendent’s license.

Dr. Walden also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Evansville, teaching courses in Qualitative Methods and Academic Writing. Her research passion centers on understanding the lived experiences of students and educators to inform meaningful, system-level improvements in education.

Dr. Lora Becker, emeriti professor, Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, teached the Honors course, Introduction to Behavioral Neuroscience. In this course, students study the nervous system and how it controls the actions of the human body. In addition to the textbook, students read essays from Robert Sapolsky and Oliver Sacks which present case studies of individuals with neurological impairments or critiques on how neuroscience findings can enlighten understanding of ourselves.|

Dr. Becker received her undergraduate dual BS in biology and psychology from Wright State University, as well as a MA in psychobiology and PhD.. in behavioral neuroscience from Binghamton University. Her research expertise is in the field of behavioral neuroscience. She has been published in numerous scholarly journals, including Comparative Clinical Pathology and the Journal of Applied Biological Sciences. Dr. Becker is a member of the Nu Rho Psi Neuroscience Honors Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She received the Dean of Arts and Sciences Teaching Award in 2007 and the Dean of Students Advisor of the Year Award in 2004.
