Program Admission
Graduate admission is open to interested and qualified individuals.
To apply for the PhD in Health Professions Education program, please complete the University of Evansville graduate application. Once your application has been submitted, upload the following materials to the UE Admission Portal or email them to admission@evansville.edu.
Admission Requirements for the PhD Program
A comprehensive selection process is utilized to support a rigorous, post-professional graduate program. Applicants must possess:
- Master’s degree or professional clinical doctorate from a regionally accredited college or University
- Minimum of three years of experience as a healthcare practitioner and/or one year of experience in an educator role.
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 in all graduate coursework
- Personal statement describing why you wish to pursue a PhD in Health Professions Education and your career goals
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- Currently active professional license
- Two professional references
- $50 application fee
Applications will be reviewed by an admission team consisting of the Program Director, Director of Graduate Admission, and a faculty member. Those who are selected for the interview process will be contacted by the University.
