Student Internship

History Outside the Classroom

Students in UE's history program have the opportunity to gain strong, hands-on experience through internships in Evansville, across the nation, and around the world.

Students are strongly encouraged to get hands-on experience in their junior year through internships. UE students have interned at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science; Historic New Harmony; Angel Mounds State Historic Site; in several local archives; and the office of the mayor of Evansville, working on a wide variety of tasks in city government and administration. We also place interns in the State Legislature in Indianapolis and on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
