University Relations Coordinator
The purpose of this role is to coordinate both internal and external university communications. This position will manage the external university relations function, which includes preparing press releases, handling media inquiries, supporting university press events, and working to place local, regional, and national feature stories to further the reach of UE's core messages. Additionally, this position will be responsible for internal university communications regarding safety, security, and general announcements. The person in this role will also coordinate social media engagement and work with the marketing and enrollment teams to engage prospective students and other key stakeholders via social media.
This position will be an essential part of the marketing and communications team and will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications.
Minimum requirements for the position include a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Good knowledge of social media platforms is essential. The successful candidate will understand the importance of strategic communications and will be able to manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure.
