Clinical Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program

The University of Evansville invites applicants for a 12-month Clinical Assistant Professor / Instructor in the Physician Assistant Program. This faculty position will focus on experiential education and supports the PA clinical team and program director in ensuring quantity and quality of clinical sites to meet the program's needs for accreditation maintenance. Responsibilities also include teaching in the graduate PA Program, advising, scholarship, and service to the department, University, community and the PA profession. The faculty member will also be actively involved in student recruitment, and the ongoing development and assessment of the PA Program and its outcomes. Minimum requirements for the position include a master’s degree in a healthcare related field and three years of experience working within a healthcare system or medical environments. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.  Opportunities exist to participate in clinical practice in the community and to be involved in inter-professional education activities.

This Physician Assistant Program is currently housed at the Stone Family Center for Health Sciences in downtown Evansville, IN. This state-of-the-art multi-institutional campus provides unique opportunities for inter-professional experiences among faculty, as well as collaborative learning and research opportunities.
