Global Scholars 2023 - 2024

The Center for Innovation & Change is pleased to announce the Global Scholars for the 2023-24 academic year.

As Global Scholars, the recipients of this award will engage in scholarship, curriculum development, and activities related to preparing our students and community for global leadership, citizenry, and success as changemakers. The Global Scholars program is administered by the Center for Innovation & Change and made possible by the John H. Schroeder Global Scholar Endowed Fund.

Dr. Omwenga will look into a machine learning approach for smart city technologies and sustainable urban development in Kenya.

Associate Professor of Spanish, and Co-Director of the Eykamp Center for Teaching Excellence

Dr. Rodríguez Quevedo will develop a virtual reality portal for language and culture exchanges in Bogotá, Cartagena and Medellín, Colombia.

Dr. Stroube will study sustainability and healthcare by through partnerships with universities in India.
