Global Scholars 2022 - 2023

The Center for Innovation & Change is pleased to announce the Global Scholars for the 2022-23 academic year.

As Global Scholars, the recipients of this award will engage in scholarship, curriculum development, and activities related to preparing our students and community for global leadership, citizenry, and success. The Global Scholars program is administered by the Center for Innovation & Change and made possible by the John H. Schroeder Global Scholar Endowed Fund.

Dr. Ed Bujak

Professor of British Studies

Dr. Bujak will receive certification in facilitating Intercultural Learning and Intercultural Development Inventory.

Dr. Vincent Campese

Professor of Psychology

Dr. Campese will be continuing work from a previous project by studying how to reduce persuasion towards misinformation in the communication of medical science in the Thai cities of Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya.

Professor of Sociology

Dr. Mari Plikuhn will be conducting research with her students on barriers to and opportunities for first generation students studying abroad.

Dr. Rania Mousa will be presenting a paper at a conference in Switzerland: Reimagining Financial Inclusion in the Post COVID-19 World: The Case of Grameen America.

Dr. Tamara Wandel

Professor of Communication

Dr. Tamara Wandel will travel to Italy to attend meetings of the World Federation of the Deaf, meet with sports and communication officials and explore D/deaf culture and communicative elements.
