Diane Brewer is the John David Lutz Distinguished Professor of the Arts at the University of Evansville. Her area of expertise is dramaturgy, with a particular focus on enhancing connections between dramatic texts, production teams, and audience communities. In her role as Director of Honors at UE, she applies this dramaturgical approach to fostering collaboration between the diverse groups of people who contribute to meaningful student learning. She extends this work at a national level as the Coordinator of Dramaturgy and Research Programming for the Kennedy Center National College Theatre Festival.
She has dramaturged upwards of fifty plays, directed university and touring productions, and developed new work in venues such as Tofte Lake Center, The New Harmony Project, the Utah Shakespearean Company Plays in Progress, the Mark Taper Forum’s P.L.A.Y. Her work as a director is a featured subject in Deaf Side Story: Deaf Sharks, Hearing Jets and a Classic American Musical (Gallaudet University Press). Her published articles have appeared in Theatre/Practice, The Dramaturgy Protocol, The Dramaturgy Sourcebook (vols. 4 and 5), Theatre Topics, PAJ: Performing Arts Journal, and HowlRound at the Center for Theater Commons.
She serves as an Artist Panel Reader for the Jewish Plays Project and volunteers for Cypress: The Committee to Promote Respect in Schools.
Dr. Brewer has received such honors as the Arts Educator of the Year Award (Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana), the Dean’s Outstanding Teaching Award (University of Evansville College of Arts and Sciences), and the Diversity at Work Award (Office of Diversity Initiatives, University of Evansville). She holds a BA in Drama from Tufts University and a Ph.D. in theatre from UCLA.

Paige is a clinical assistant professor of nursing at the University of Evansville. She graduated from the University of Louisville with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2017. She graduated from Ball State University with her Masters of Science in Nursing (Nurse Educator Concentration) in 2021. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Paige’s clinical background is in medical-surgical nursing, including neurology, oncology, orthopedics, and trauma. She is credentialed as a Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse by the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses and a Certified Nurse Educator by the National League for Nursing.
In her free time, Paige enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, and reading.

Dr. Sally Busby

Assistant Professor of Education
Sally Busby, assistant professor in the School of Education, earned her BA in Elementary Education and MA in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi, and EdD in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education with a focus on dyslexia and qualitative research design from Indiana University Bloomington. She has published articles in disability studies, children's literature, and arts-based qualitative research methods.
Dr. Busby taught middle school English and gifted education for 15 years in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her National Board Teaching Certification in 2008 and recertified in 2017. Her NBCT concentration is in English/Language Arts, Early Adolescence. Sally has supervised student teacher candidates, presented in teacher and researcher conferences, and mentored new teachers.

Ms. Sarah J Smith, BFA, MEIM

Ms. Smith joined the UE Theatre faculty in 2017, after over a decade of professional work as a costume designer, stylist, and project manager in New York City, Los Angeles, and regional theatres across the country, Ms. Smith brings her professional work to the classroom while continuing to pursue professional projects. Her theatre work ranges from small-scale new works to opera and Broadway musicals. Sarah has worked at Disney/ABC Television Studios, styled photo shoots for national print campaigns, and designed costumes for television.
Ms. Smith received her Masters and BFA in Drama/Design from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a proud member of IATSE—United Scenic Artists Local 829 and Theatrical Wardrobe Union Local 764.

Seah's Full Biography
Dr. Ying Ying Seah is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Evansville (UE) and holds a Ph.D. in Technology from Purdue University. Before joining UE, she served as an Assistant Professor of Creative Technologies at Oakland City University. Informed by research, Dr. Seah is committed to integrating innovative pedagogies into her classroom. Her research interests include STEM Education, Design Thinking, Argumentation, Simulation-based Learning, and Learning Analytics.
Born and raised in Sungai Besar, Malaysia, Dr. Seah is fluent in four languages. She is deeply committed to her Christian faith and is passionate about connecting with students outside the classroom, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, DIY projects, gardening, and travelling.

Chantal is certified as both a Lactation Counselor and a Trauma Nurse Specialist. She has also had training to be a pediatric, adolescent, and adult sexual assault nurse examiner, and helps to prepare other healthcare professionals for emergency situations as an ACLS instructor.
Chantal resides in Fort Branch, Indiana. In her free time, she likes to serve at church and go camping with her husband and four kids.
