Assistant Professor of Communication

The University of Evansville seeks candidates for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Communication, starting August 2023, to teach strategic communication within the context of a contemporary, cross-disciplinary program.   A Ph.D. in Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, or relevant field is desirable, but consideration will be given to applicants with a master’s degree.  Applicant must demonstrate the ability for outstanding university teaching and advising. Professional work in the field of strategic public communication, as well as a thorough understanding of analytics and the digital space, are highly desired. The focus of teaching activities will be helping students develop skills in strategic communication, including communication theory, advertising and promotional strategy, and media design layout across multiple platforms. It also will include developing theoretical and practical knowledge needed to plan, execute, and measure strategic communication campaigns in both the physical and digital space.
