Civil Engineering Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

The Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at the University of Evansville invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Civil Engineering.
Applicants should be committed to outstanding undergraduate teaching and have excellent oral and written English skills. Appropriate scholarly/professional development activities and university service are expected. The applicant's primary specialty should be structural engineering, civil engineering materials, or construction engineering. The applicant will be responsible for teaching courses in their specialty area and introductory courses in civil engineering, construction management, or surveying. The civil engineering program is focused on project-oriented learning and the successful candidate will serve as an advisor to student project teams. The civil engineering faculty are all licensed professional engineers and assist in the year-long capstone design project. The civil engineering program is accredited by EAC-ABET and the applicant is expected to participate with other faculty in program assessment.
A B.S. in civil engineering and an earned doctorate in civil engineering and a professional engineer’s license (or the ability to obtain a P.E. license within two years) are required. No teaching experience is required.
