Residence Halls

The University of Evansville offers students a wide variety of options for on-campus living, with five residence halls featuring living arrangements to suit each student's needs.

Types of Residence Hall Living

All of our buildings are coed, but there are various levels of coed vs single gender living.

  • First and Second Year Pod Housing – It's a new style of housing! Students looking for a bit more privacy and an upgraded place to call home will find it in our newly constructed pod style housing. There is a mix of six-person double room pods and four-person single room pods. See more at by visiting the various hall pages above.

  • Single Gender Floors – Although Schroeder and Powell are coed buildings, each floor is designated by gender.

  • Coed by Floor Wing – Students living in Moore and Hale have the option of living on floors that are coed by wing or section.

  • Gender Inclusive – Depending on specific needs, this may take the form of a private room, private or semi-private bathrooms, and/or designated mixed gender suite or apartment configurations. See Gender Inclusive Housing for more information.

  • Single Rooms – For an added $900 per semester you can request a single room in Powell, Schroeder, or Moore Halls. Just select this in your housing registration or contact the Residence Life Office.

  • Theme Living – For students who are academically-driven, consider UE’s Honors housing in Powell. See Theme Housing for more information.
