Assistant Professor/Assistant Director for the Nurse Anesthesia Program
The University of Evansville invites applicants for a 12-month Assistant Professor and Assistant Director position in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. Responsibilities include teaching and course coordination within the program; managing the clinical education component of the curriculum, including site development, student assignment, orientation of preceptors, student supervision, and assessment; maintaining records; advising; providing service to the program, including meeting with prospective students, families, recruitment events, and representing the program to the University and community as required. Minimum requirements for the position include a DNP, PhD, or DNAP, current certification by the NBCRNA, and three years of clinical practice as a CRNA. Prior teaching and student supervision are preferred but not required. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical practice in the community and to be involved in interprofessional education activities.
The Nurse Anesthesia Program is housed on the UE campus, and classes are also offered at the Stone Family Center for Health Sciences in downtown Evansville. This state-of-the-art multi-institutional campus will provide unique opportunities for interprofessional experiences among faculty, as well as collaborative learning and research opportunities.
