Administrative Assistant for the Center for Innovation & Change

The Center for Innovation & Change is looking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant. This valued team member will help implement a wide range of on- and off-campus community programming. They must be extremely detail oriented and conscientious, but also enjoy implementing new ideas brought to us by our students, staff, faculty and community. At any given time, this person will support 10-15 ChangeLab courses per semester by organizing the administration of the program’s adjunct, client and lab fee contracts, and fielding faculty and student requests. In addition, they will support multiple community events and externally funded projects being planned, and an average of 100 students per semester as they work to improve their world and need to be connected to resources. The ability to support simultaneous projects, handle strategic calendar management, and be an effective and positive communicator is crucial. The work is fun, rewarding and fast-paced, and this person will make an impact each and every day they show up for work. Experience at UE is a bonus, but not required. The position is full-time, salaried with benefits, including tuition remission for dependents at the University of Evansville.


Typical duties include: coordinating the calendar and meetings for the office and Executive Director; supporting Embrace Student Marketing Agency ChangeLab with payroll, deposits and projections; reporting on expenses for the Center's grant funded projects as they unfold; coordinating advisory board meetings (currently virtual, but in-person eventually); handling paperwork for the ChangeLab program including adjunct stipends, lab fees and course listings; collecting information for promoting student and faculty changemaking on campus and in the community; assisting with events; monitoring office supply needs and supervising work study students. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Experience with QuickBooks is a bonus, but not required. This individual will be the gate-keeper for the Center for Innovation & Change, representing its can-do spirit and servant leadership every day. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a twelve month, full time, salaried non-exempt appointment with full university benefits.
