I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, but have made Evansville my home for 5 years now! I love to read, watch movies, paint decorations for my apartment, find new trails to hike, and I also coach gymnastics. My favorite thing about Ace CARE is getting to see everyone's smiling faces and how impactful one student can be to a participant in any of our branches!

I graduated from UE with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Medical Spanish in 2020. Languages are a huge passion of mine and I've been so lucky to have spent the last 4 years communicating with all the people that come through our doors! I love everything about Ace CARE and I can't wait to meet all of the new participants to come!

I completed my undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at the University of Evansville in 2019. I have always had a passion for working with athletes, but Ace CARE has shown me that we do not always know how we can truly impact our community at first. I found my passion of working with patients with neurological conditions over the past year and I am so excited to continue to work with this population. I was born and raised in Evansville, so it means so much to me to be able to stay in my hometown and give back. Ace CARE has given me so much fulfillment already in the short year I have been a part of it, and I can't wait to learn and get to know the participants and volunteers of ACErcise on a deeper level. Go Aces!

I'm from Jasper, IN and I majored in Exercise Science here at UE! By volunteering with Ace CARE over the past year, I've gotten to experience firsthand the impact this organization has on each and every patient that walks through the door. Because of this, I am so excited to serve as the fundraising co-coordinator and have the opportunity to give back to an organization that is much bigger than myself!

Hi! I’m Emma and I’m from South Carolina. I did my undergrad at UE in Athletic Training while on the swim team, and am currently most interested in neuro and geriatric physical therapy. But more than that I’m just excited by the sheer amount of work opportunities that being a Doctor of Physical Therapy opens up, and to learn more about them. In my free time I love reading, finding new coffee shops, and listening to music!

Hello all! My name is Alyssa Hurm and I am the Media Coordinator for Ace CARE. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Health Sciences and am now in my second year of physical therapy school. I chose physical therapy because I love the prospect of not only getting to meet new people every day, but also having the opportunity to make a positive impact and improve their quality of life. Physical therapy is a field that allows for me to empower and motivate others as well as offering a sense of fulfillment!

I'm from Evansville, but I went to Western Kentucky University for undergrad to study Exercise Science. After volunteering with AceBuddies this past year, I knew it was something I wanted to continue to be a part of and have a larger role in. This organization combines my love of working with kids with physical therapy. So excited to see how Ace CARE and AceBuddies grows over the next year and continues after that!

I hail from a little town called Knottsville, KY and graduated from the University of Evansville in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Athletic Training and now I am the Operations Coordinator for the AceBuddies Program! I have a cousin that is 11 months younger than me who has Downs syndrome, so I have been exposed to the special needs population for my entire life. I have learned about patience, love, and abilities in a way that I never could have without Jonah. This is what drew my heart to the AceBuddies program. Working as a volunteer with AceBuddies gave me some of the most joy I have felt during this first year of physical therapy school. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to serve on the board for this amazing organization.
