Neurologic Residency Program

The mission of the St. Vincent Evansville & University of Evansville Neurologic Residency Program is to develop exceptional, passionate and persevering physical therapists dedicated to the excellent care of the body, mind, and spirit of individuals served. It is our vision that residents will serve as leaders in the field of neurologic physical therapy, advancing the profession by facilitating the translation of evidence to clinical practice using measurement as a guide to the systematic application of interventions.

We strive to create a supported learning environment that encourages lifelong professional development beginning with the residency and continuing throughout the entire career in the areas of patient care, teaching, mentoring, research and community engagement and outreach. With this mission, we envision continued organizational growth and identification of St. Vincent Evansville as the premier provider of neurologic rehabilitation services in southwestern Indiana. Resident graduates will be prepared to sit and pass the board certification exam in neurologic physical therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in the spring following residency completion.
